Have you ever felt like nobody was there? Have you ever felt forgotten, in the middle of nowhere?
Those aren’t just the lyrics to an amazing song from the heart-felt musical “Dear Evan Hansen”, they’re also how I truly feel sometimes. Alone in my opinions and views, and alone in the sense of just being a mom struggling to get through my day-to-day.
But I have to stop and remind myself I am not alone. There are good people there with the same ideals and values. And even when I *feel* like nobody loves me, that’s just lies from Satan. We ARE important. We HAVE powerful voices- that’s why social media and the news keep trying to shut us up. But don’t let them!
The strongest thing you can do is confidently, unapologetically remember that you are strong, and brave, and ridiculously LOVED beyond words.
All it takes is 1 word to remind yourself (and the world) that. Loved.
Indulge your skin with this luxuriously-soft experience. You deserve to feel comfortable even when little people are climbing all over you, even when you’re washing the dishes for the 47th time today (seriously, why are there ALWAYS so many?!), even when the kids are crying and the dogs are barking, even when you’re rocking spit-up! You. Deserve. To. Feel. Comfortable.
Work it, mama. Now go eat some chocolate alone. You deserve that too.
